In the past, the violent gang Mad Gear had control of Metro City. In order to save it, Mayor Mike Haggar stood up to them.
However, someone had been waiting for him, going on to extract the lowest form of revenge.
On that day...
(Haggar) [Cody, Guy, my daughter Jessica has been kidnapped.]
(Cody) [That Mad Gear dirt, doing something that cowardly...I'll kick their asses.
(Guy) [I shall lend my assistance.]

How to control
*Press both buttons at once to perform your special move!
(Red button) Attack button
(Blue button) Jump button
*By tapping the attack button, one connecting attack after another will be performed.
*Combine the joystick lever and buttons to perform various techniques.
*Hit both buttons at the same time to perform your special move.
(But, a small amount of vitality will be drained.)
(Translation note: Guy speaks in a old-fashioned Samurai dialect which I couldn't directly translate to English.)
