Story
"Emergency! Emergency!! The whole area is affected!! The evil demon WARUDA has begun attacking the earth!! Time and space have gone into a state of chaos!!"
Viewing the monitor in his research lab, Dr. Cinnamon of Donburi Island has found himself out of sorts. But, soon the intelligent Doctor began the task of contacting all the world's heroes. They should almost certainly be able to begin battling Waruda. However, why haven't the heroes been answering!?! We have to get everyone together!! Dr. Cinnamon once again went into a panic...
"Pyu, Pyu, Pyu, Dr. Cinnamon! This is Konami Man. Please answer me!!"

"I'm just fine, however, about the other heroes...the Great Demon King Waruda has captured them all. I'm on my way to your research lab!"

"Aa! Konami Man arrived! Well, here's my creation: The Android called Konami Lady. Along with her, go set off to rescue the heroes from the Great Demon King Waruda. Combine all your powers to defeat Waruda for us! I beg of you!!"

How to Play
Venture out to rescue the Konami heroes and defeat the evil Demon King Waruda!!
* Set off to various worlds to rescue the captured heroes!
* In two player, controller 1 controls Konami Man and controller 2 controls Konami Lady. You can play simultaneously!
* Along the way you'll spot power-up items. Outside of the common use items, there are ones just for certain heroes, which won't be available as long as they're captured.
* If you rescue a hero, you can choose them to also go fight from the player select screen!
* If you've gathered all 8, you can set out to defeat Waruda! He's hiding outsomewhere in outer space...time to launch Vic Viper and Twinbee!!

Left, Right - Moves the player left or right.
Up, Down - Use this to descend/ascend stairs.
Down - Lets the player crouch.
B button - Player attack button.
A button
* Lets the player jump.
* While using the cape, continually press this to let Konami Man and Konami Lady fly.
Start button - Changes to the player status/character switch sub screen.

Up button + A button (Player select) - Allows the player to choose among the heros.

While pressing the down button, press A.
* Play
At the entrance of shops in the Edo stage, press the A button to enter and participate in a gambling stage.
* Rescuing heroes
If you have the [Key] item, go up to the hero and press the down button to rescue them.

Somewhere in the action stage(s), a hero has been captured. Rescuing the hero involves defeating a boss and grabbing a key. You'll need to be on the lookout for keys that have been set in around the levels as items! To return to the research lab while in a stage, go back to the teleportation equipment. While directly inside of it, press the down button to make your return!
Suppose you're not able to make any progress in your current game session. On the controller, hold the Up button and simultaneously press A, B and Select. This will end each players' life, returning you to the computer room.

If you press the start button, the sub screen will appear. You can refresh yourself on the player life meters, inventory items, etc.

When entering Dr. Cinnamon's computer room, stand in front of shutter 1 and press the down button. Pressing the B button will return you to the front of the research facility shutters.
Here you can listen to information about captured heroes. In addition, if you receive damage in the action stages, your life will be restored. Also, if you wish to finish your game, Dr. Cinnamon can tell you the password!

Enter the teleportation room by standing in front of Shutter 2 and pressing the Down button. Press the B button to return in front of the research center shutters.
When choosing the action stages of captured heros, use the D-pad to move the cursor. Pressing the A button will transport you to that world.

Shooting stage

Player
Having rescued all the heroes and gathering as eight, you'll go on to a shooting stage!! Standing in front of shutter 3, press down to enter the storage room. In this stage, you can fly as Vic Viper and Twinbee to do battle with enemies!
Move with the controller button and fire bullets with B. If you've been powered up, the A button fires a guided missile from Vic Viper or a Rocket Punch from Twin Bee.
"Everyone is down!!"
On each stage, including the shooting stages, if all your heroes have been decimated, you'll return to Doctor Cinnamon's computer room. There, Cinnamon's Twin Brother, Simon, will bring them back to life!

Item Explanation
Exclusive Items
On action stages, there are exclusive items for each of your heroes, which others won't be able to pick up.
Beam Gun
For Konami Man. A beam will emit from it.
Cross
To be thrown like a boomerang.
Hit Gun
For Konami Lady. Can shoot out bullets.
Shuriken
This equipment flies through the air. Can shoot in three directions and even shatter rocks.

Sling Shot
Mikey flings bullets, taking out even distant enemies.
Donuts
Eating these will harness an ancient, unknown power...fueling Moai Head's Ion bullet weapon.
Beckoning Cat
Used for Goemon's "Deadly Koban Throw"
Treasure Chest
Open for a suprise!! It's a Pandora's Box.
Banana
Eat these to increase King Kong's vitality, letting him toss boulders with all his might.

Common Items
These power-up items show up in action stages! Any hero can use these items.
Mini Heart
These life sources pop up when defeating enemies. Taking these will recover two parts of your life meter.
Bullet
Bullets pop up when defeating enemies. Taking them will increase your usable bullet count.
Big Heart
These life sources pop up when defeating enemies. Taking this will recover five parts of your life meter.
Armor
Decreases the loss of life you incur.
Holy Water
Taking this will fill up the player's life meter.
Cape
If you obtain this, Konami Man and Konami Lady can go flying through the air.
Onigiri
By holding on to this, the player's life will (automatically) restore if they're caught in a pinch.
Capsule
Multiplies the attack power of all players.
Key
You'll need these to rescue heroes.

Shooting Stage Items
In the shooting stages, Vic Viper and Twinbee can pick up the following items.
Missile
By taking these, Vic Viper can use guided missiles. Their attacks will seek out enemies.
Punch
By picking this up, Twinbee's arms become Rocket Punches, flying outwards and returning back.
Laser
Picking this up will transform Vic Viper's bullets into lasers, piercing through enemies.
Ripple Laser
This will turn Twinbee's attacks into the ripple laser, increasing his attack range.
Speed Up
One of these lets you speed up by one level (Max: 7).
Bell
Fire at moving clouds to make these pop out. If you fire at the bell 8 times, it will undergo the big transformation...into a power up!
Option
Allows you to divide your form (Up to two times)
Barrier
Protects you from up to 5 enemy bullets.

Concerning Passwords
Anytime you wish to finish during play, head back to Dr. Cinnamon's computer room. Dr. Cinnamon will teach you a password to place in your memo. Anytime the power cuts out or you get a Game Over, you can begin the game once again with the items you had on hand.
How to Enter Passwords
By choosing continue at the title , you'll go on to the password input screen. Inputting passwords is done by using Up+Down to select characters, and Left+Right to move the cursor. When the password is completed, move the cursor to the "Finish" button and press A, beginning the game!!
